The latest issue of V-Jump reveals new detail on Final Fantasy XIII concerning the Odin summon as well as providing a name for the silver haired man in the E3 2009 trailer.
Yaag Rosch, as he’s named, is a liutenant colonel. He’s described as the rival of Lightning and her party, so he may be to Final Fantasy XIII what The Turks are to Final Fantasy VII. Yaag wants peace for the citizens of Cocoon, so when something threatens the citizens, he does not smile kindly upon it.
Also revealed in the issue, Lightning’s summon Odin will have his own specific driving commands, such as Snow with the Shiva motorcycle. Odin will have an autodrive, or you can select from a list of physical attacks, including: Roaring Sword, Vacuum Breaker, Crying Heaven Ten Thousand Thunder, and Zantetsuken attack.
Want more? Wait for TGS.
V-Jump: New Final Fantasy XIII Details – New Character Named [FF-XIII.net]

Vacuum Breaker? I wonder what they have named the woman with glasses and long hair.
This Yaag could end up being the next Sephiroth
or the woman with glasses as fangirl mentioned looks very much like a female version of sephiroth, I think so anyway.
The names of the abilities for these summons
sound very destructive, I can’t wait.
Hey fangirl, you seem to be interested in Bayonetta aswell.
RPG’s and Action games are the only games I play.
Are you a Ninja Gaiden fan at all, the Sigma games mainly.
Crying Heaven Ten Thousand Thunder sounds Epic! Though we havent seen Yaag in action I don’t really get a sinister from him but I do with the blonde woman. No Ninja Gaiden for me, the game looks good though.
Nice Nic!
There is always one battle that I get hyped with in Final Fantasy & that is the OMEGA WEAPON, XII had the Hell Wyrm & he was a beast in a half. I hope they bring back OMEGA for XIII.
I know what you mean Final Fantasy Fan. I hope he is in XIII aswell.
The lady with glasses could end up being the final boss. not sure about Yaag.
fangirl, what’s your favourite Final Fantasy game, mine is VII.
VIII would be next and than XII.
VIII (Its the first one I played)
VII
X
XII
Did you beat OMEGA Weapon. Me and my mates found him way tough, you should of seen us when we did beat him, you would have cracked up.
Alot of swearing and cursing and jumping for joy.
I can tell you guys haven’t been a FF “fans” for too long.
Unfortunately I didnt get to play them all. So I can only talk about the ones I do know.
Theron: “Did he just say FFXII!?!”
Theron: *eye twitch*
Lol, mine would be FFIX
And how can you tell?
sorry this message was for TheronGuard00.
TheronGuard00, do us all a favour and don’t type crap.
I can tell you that FinalFantast_fangirl and FinalFantasyFan would know a hell of alot more about Final Fantasy history than you do.
Joining in on the discussion, my three favourites would probably be:
FFVII
FFX
FFIX
I just bought IX last week with legend of dragoon.
I have a friend who loves Legend of Dragoon. I’ve never played it personally, I think its meant to quite rare to find! (at least in the UK) Enjoy!
The first thing I thought when I read his first name is that it sounds gay backwards. Lol ;D
Actually guys, I haven’t been playing FF for a long time. What I’m looking forward to play now is the aion online.
yeah Aion looks interesting, I played Guild Wars for years so this new game is a nice change.
but I think it’s pay to play, oh well no free this time around.
Final Fantasy VIII has always been my favourite, currently playing Final Fantasy VII downloaded from Playstation Store and man the memories come rushing back. XII was amazing, I understand it was differerent but I loved the change. Fran is awsome. never really played XI.
Now Final Fantasy XIII is looking fantastic, very pleased with what I have seen so far. Square-Enix are the RPG Kings.
Man I remember Legend of dragoon, classic game.
I wanna play Vagrant Story again.
LOL, Ehrgeiz anyone.
is anyone getting Dissidia – Final Fantasy, I hope 1 day Square-Enix create that kind of game for the PS3.
