Official PlayStation 3 Slim Shots Are Small and Sexy
The official screenshots of the today-announced PlayStation 3 slim have been released by Sony. They sure are pretty, if you ask me. The slim model will feature a 120GB hard-drive, weigh in 36 percent lighter and 33 percent smaller consuming 34 percent less power, and go for $299 when it hits retail stores in September.

I should sell my current PS3 now so I can get the newer model but I think I’ll stick with my PhatS3. It’s shiny just like my DirecTV receiver. I’m more excited about the 3.0 firmware upgrade! FINALLY, animated backgrounds, email notifier and some nice touches like the big tiles promoting new games/videos/stuff.
I got $10 bucks that says Sony’s servers get crushed come September 1 with thousands complaining that they couldn’t upgrade or it took 3 hours to complete the download and install. Oh well.

Well, the slim sure came alot sooner. lets just hope it’s reliable.
don’t get rid of your current PS3 just because the slim is coming out.
Your current PS3 will still run all the games getting released soon.
Of course if there is PS2 BC than that is another story.
I will agree though, it’s a cool design, SONY have done well.
