More PS3 Slim Leaks From French Retailer
It’s inevitable right now. The PlayStation 3 slim will be announced next week in Cologne. All these new leaks are just to tide us over until the event. So who’s leaking this time? A picture taken at a French retailer may confirm the PlayStation 3 Slims existance (if every other obvious rumor out there doesn’t), listing the “PLAYSTATION 3 Slim” console in their system for 299.00 and launching September 1, 2009.
We would backtrack on everything known about the PlayStation 3 slim already, but really there’s no point. Amazon.de had it up, there were leaked pictures, it’s all inevitable. You can be sure to see it at Gamescom Cologne next week.

Wow Sony really can’t keep a secret just recently!
Jack Tretton was recently expressing his anger with those leaking this knowledge, too. Well, at E3.
Sony still manages to keep a few things up their sleeve. I didn’t see that FF14 announcement coming.
While I don’t see how this particular photo doesn’t necessarily prove anything it’s still yet another PS3 Slim story that’s sparking interest, which ultimately is bad for Sony because if this starts getting out the general public the already slow sales figures for the system could come to a screeching halt if people think there’s something better, and more importantly cheaper, just over the horizon.
I’m actually still holding out on getting a 360 because I still believe MS will package in Natal with a new SKU with a built-in wifi, smaller chip for a cooler system and a bigger HDD. And that was based on a rumor that didn’t last much longer than a week. Meanwhile Slim stories have been pretty consistent for the past few months.
