That’s right, folks. Those interested in purchasing a PlayStation 3 slim model can pick it up five days earlier today as GameStop’s got them in and Sony Computer Entertainment America has given them the rights to sell it early.

According to Game Headz, this is due to the upcoming Xbox 360 Elite price cut due to hit September 1st. This way, Sony picks up a few sales before Microsoft drops the Xbox 360′s price and it’s a head-to-head race. Want one? Head to GameStop.

    I’ll be keeping my 80gig thanks.
    apart from the 120gig hard Drive there is nothing else worth noting.

    Nope! I’d rather spend my money with Aion or else wait for the rumored PS3 with bigger capacity .
