There will indeed be a ‘Game of the Year Edition’ for Gears of War 2. Why wouldn’t there be? There’a a ‘Game of the Year Edition’ for just about everything nowadays.

Shipping September 1st, the Gears of War 2 GOTY Edition comes loaded with the original game and the Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection including: The Flashback, Combustible, and Snowblind map packs, as well as an additional campaign chapter.

For those who haven’t already played the game, it’s September 1st and available for $39.99 at GameStop. If you’re looking to save a couple of bucks, Amazon has it for $36.99.
