Final Fantasy Versus XIII dev time “comparatively faster” than FFXIII

At GamesCom 2009 last week, Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase told Kotaku that development on the PlayStation 3 exclusive Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be “comparatively faster” than that of Final Fantasy XIII. As you know, Versus XIII has been in the quiet for quite some time now.

Kitase has also said the team’s new “knowledge and experience” from working on Final Fantasy XIII will help with faster development on Versus XIII, as well. It was announced a bit ago that some of the Versus XIII staff were helping out on Final Fantasy XIII a while back.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been in development for at least five years, so you never know how far in they actually are. It could even be out by late 2010.

    Ahhhhh yes, finally some news on Versus XIII.
    I was worried there for awhile, seemed like this game dropped off the planet.
    But now all is well, the hype continues.

    Im hoping late 2010 it would of been nice if you could buy both XIII together in a sweet collector’s edition!! Maybe KH3 will be announced in the very near future…
