Yakuza 3 is not coming to North America
SEGA has just recently announced Yakuza 4 for Japan. Meanwhile, we don’t even know when or if Yakuza 3 and Yakuza: Kenzan for PlayStation 3 will arrive on our shores. However, today SEGA confirmed that Yakuza 3 is not coming to the US, at all, which also crushes hope for Yakuza: Kenzan and Yakuza 4 to release here as well.
The reason? Yakuza 2 sold just about 40k copies on PS2 in America. The first Yakuza didn’t do that much better, either, which is odd since they’re both great games.
If you want the game, looks like you’re going to have to import it… and learn Japanese.
