There’s still hope, Yakuza fans! It seems that SEGA of America’s Ray Almeda misspoke yesterday when he told Examiner that Yakuza 3 would not release due to low Yakuza 2 sales. What he told them was his own personal opinion, apparently.

The Examiner has updated their post since then. “It was earlier reported that Sega has no plans to release Yakuza 3 stateside.” They wrote. “By viewing upcoming release list, Sega still hasn’t made any mention of an upcoming release or revealed plans to release it stateside. However, the statements made earlier are not official Sega statements.”

So, there’s still hope folks. Where there’s hope for Yakuza 3, there’s hope for Yakuza: Kenzan, where there’s hope for , there’s hope for Yakuza 4.
