Castle Crashers, the Xbox LIVE Arcade title released last year that won several awards,, securing “Game of the Year”, “Best Original Game” and “Best Co-op Mode”, has been announced for PlayStation 3 by way of the San Diego Comic-Con occurring now.

GameSpot got the first hands on, saying it looks exactly the same as the Xbox 360 version. “As far as how the PS3 game looks and plays, the demo that we checked out was already running well and certainly looked to be on par with the Xbox 360 game,” said the site. “The action is smooth and responsive, and the colorful visuals look as crisp as ever.”

The PlayStation 3 game will include trophy support, of course. The Behemoth says that developments going well and they’re looking to get the game out as soon as possible, however no release date has been announced. In terms of exclusive content for the PlayStation 3 version, they say it’s still to be determined. Read on for the first gameplay.
