Earlier this month, gaming site TheSixthAxis notified its readers about an Xbox 360 favorite coming to PlayStation 3 at the end of this year, not providing the game name, however. With the recent announcement of Castle Crashers for PlayStation 3, many are suspecting that’s the game. However, they’ve confirmed it’s not. Apparently, it’s just a coincidence.

They’ve not just confirmed it’s not Castle Crashers, but have also confirmed that it’s not any of these titles either: Halo, Gears, Left 4 Dead, Splinter Cell or Mass Effect. Some of those were obvious due to being first-party games, but others could’ve been a possibility.

As for what it actually is, they can’t tell us yet due to a deal with the publisher. However, they do say that it “is a niche title which we are quite looking forward to and we think some of our readers will be interested in.”
