Max Payne 3 is an example of another Rockstar game that was announced undetailed. Luckily, though, the latest Game Informer has a few new tidbits on the game, thanks to a Max Payne 3 cover story.

Max is a bald, bearded pain-killer addict in the third game, when he finds himself in rock bottom in Sao Palo, Brazil. Graphics-wise, the game can be compared to Uncharted 2, which means that we shouldn’t worry about the visual direction of the game. The game makes full use of Rockstar’s RAGE engine, which produces vibrant colors, full destructible environments and more.

Bullet-time will make a return in this Max Payne, as well. An additional feature is that this time around, the game will feature an online multiplayer mode.

Max Payne 3 is currently slated for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in Winter 2009.
