The Xbox 360 and PC’s psychological action thriller Alan Wake has been in development for quite some time now. However, it’s on track for a Spring 2010 release, as announced today during Microsoft’s press conference.

The game’s in development at Remedy, the same guys behind the Max Payne series. They’re set to bring “multilayered character interactions, unique problem-solving and intense combat against terrifying enemies” with Alan Wake.

Players will step in the shoes of Alan Wake, a writer who’s work comes to life as he searches for his missing wife in the Pacific Northwest town of bright Falls. The game is mission-based with a heavy story-focus.
