We’re gonna put money on Captain Shepard’s living state in Mass Effect 2. According to the cover of the July 2009 Official Xbox Magazine issue, featuring Mass Effect 2 as the cover story, Shepard is alive and kicking.

The issue will feature a ten page article on Mass Effect 2 revealing new information, characters, and more.
