Rumor: Lost and Damned Coming to PS3 in August
The latest issue of PSW magazine is saying that Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned will arrive on PlayStation 3 this August.
According to the article, the exclusivity deal between Microsoft and Rockstar was only a six month deal, which is how the magazine came up with the August release date.
To support the case, Rockstar has been known to release Grand Theft Auto games just around six months earlier on the PS2 than on Xbox. It could be a reversed case this time around.

While I’m glad to hear that Microsoft’s power isn’t so dominant that it can take something like extra content away from Sony I lost interest in GTAIV a few months after I bought it.
Again, my biggest hang-up was the handling of the cars and since you spend at least 75% of your time driving around (if you intend to get there in a timely fashion) I just couldn’t take playing the game anymore. But again, great to hear that it’ll be coming to the PS3.
I wonder, however, if the current economy has anything to do with it or if the deal was always 6 months (almost seems like it’s been 6 months but I could be wrong).
I said this elsewhere, but anyway…
Its possible that there was a stipulation in the agreement with MS that the content had to sell as certain amount. Since the sales for the Lost and Damned are pretty disappointing that could be a reason it would go to the PS3 if the rumor is true.

Hope it does and I never really minded the driving. It was harder than the other games but I thought it was an improvement after I played the game for a while.
