Sega America has debuted the first trailer for the North American version of End of Eternity, localizing the name to Resonance of Fate. The trailer is not too different from the previously released Japanese trailer in April, however, it does add on a few extra scenes that make it well worth the watch.

The upcoming tri-Ace and Sega joint is an RPG that takes place in a huge tower device called Basel, in an Earth where ground level has become infected with poisonous gases. The upper class resides in luxurious mansions towards the top of the tower while the lower class surrounds the many districts in the lower sectors of Basel. After many years, however, Basel begins to malfunction.

Looks cool but then again so does nearly every pre-rendered footage showing action and characters that we’ll never be able to take control of in the manner being shown.

Still, it’ll be nice to have some RPGs on the PS3. Microsoft just about owns that market right now. Then again, the RPG genre hasn’t been as door busting as it used to be either.

The PS3 will have its fair share of RPGs soon:

      Atelier Rorona*
      Final Fantasy XIII
      Final Fantasy Versus XIII*
      Last Rebellion*
      Resonance of Fate*
      Trinity Universe*
      White Knight Chronicles*

There will probably be more announced at E3 for both the PS3 and 360. =]
