Update: It’s out.

Original: The PlayStation 3 will receive a small firmware update soon. Firmware v2.76 is a minor update that will improve the playback quality of some PlayStation 3 format software.

No word on when it will go live, but it usually happens the same night their details are posted on the PlayStation.Blog. Be on your toes.
