For every fighter released in arcades that gets ported to a console, has to include at least one or two home exclusive characters. It’s like a law nowadays. King of Fighters XII is no different, sporting two new characters for the home release.

Elizabeth Blanctorche, was actually originally cut from the game’s arcade release because there was not enough time to finish all of her animations. The console release is her comeback, however. Joining her alongside the console release is the cruel and ruthless Mature.

The game’s official Japanese website displays artwork of K’ and Mai Shiranui, whom aren’t already in the game, in the new King of Fighters XII style. This could signal more to come for home exclusive characters.
