The Saboteur has been revived from the dead, as Pandemic Studios releases a brand new batch of details and screenshots on the upcoming open-world action/adventure game. The game takes place in a Nazi-occupied France in the 1940s. You play as Sean Devlin, a street-tough Irish racing mechanic with a quest for personal redemption against those who’s goals were to destroy your life.
The Saboteur takes place in open-world Paris, allowing gamers to fight on the Eiffel Tower, the riverbanks of Seine, or the cathedral of Notre Dame. The game’s world is vertical meaning it was designed for climbing rooftops, which is a perfect addition for a stealthy attack. Paris will change as you play through the game, going from a depressed black and white state to an inspiring world where citizens take action and defend themselves.
Throw all that in with stealthy kills and the ability to pull a Grand Theft Auto and hijack any vehicle, and Pandemic has one excellent-looking action game on their hands.
The Saboteur is due to release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC sometime in 2009 or early 2010.
