Tekken 6 director Katsuhiro Harada said today that Xbox 360 owners should not fear an inferior version of the fighter when it launches on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this year.
“We want to dispel any fears that fans might have that the 360 version will be inferior [to the PS3 version],” said Harada. “We are making progress every day and we’re quite confident.”
Harada says that bringing Tekken 6 to the Xbox 360 has been a “big challenge” since it was originally designed for an arcade board with a similar architecture to the PlayStation 3.
They believed the game had much potential on the PlayStation 3, however.
“As far as [the PS3's] potential goes, this is something we really noticed when developing Bloodline Rebellion. In the Tekken Project, when we talk about dividing the processing we say to “SPU itâ€. If you use the SPU’s capabilities properly and optimize the code accordingly you can pull a lot out of the hardware.”

You can make an inferior game even more inferior on another system.
Sorry, but this version of Tekken doesn’t look any different than any other version. They really haven’t done anything new in the graphics and/or animation department since version 3 and the new version doesn’t look, in my opinion, any better than Dark Resurrection.
The warped Force Unleashed-like screens are nice but the game is essentially no different than the past few iterations. It would’ve been nice to see a brand new engine or, at the very least, new character models.
LOL, how can you say that. This next installment of Tekken looks way better than any other Tekken game to date.
The Animations and Character detail has changed heaps
and stages are now destructable and multi level.
The stage with the Jet flying around is my favourite.
I was looking forward to SoulCalibur IV, but the way they released that game was just wrong. To me it was the worst of the SC’s.
yeah graphics looked good but nothing else was going for it.
Everything so far I have seen with Tekken 6 tells me they have put much effort into it, Soul Calibur IV felt rushed.
