The latest issue of Famitsu magazine in Japan contains yet another new interview on Final Fantasy XIII. The interview reveals some new details on the battle system, while small, still important. Thanks to a Final Fantasy XIII fan site, we have the translated information.

One interesting little detail is that all NPCs will have voices, meaning no longer will you have to waste ten seconds of your game squinting at the screen (you know who you are). Read on for the new details.

• Trial edition has 2 versions (?) with Snow and Lightning. (This probably means there are two different modes or scenarios selectable between Lightning and Snow in the demo.)
• During battles you can use the right stick to change the camera view. (up down left right).
• NPCs have voices.
• Nomura: “just a little exciting scene” (from Dengeki).
• Battle: O to Confirm, X to cancel, Triangle to Use stocked setting action.
• Battle: You can probably defeat weak enemies with O button mashing.
• Battle: The attack of your companions changes with the movement of your character.
