That didn’t take too long. Konami has announced that they will no longer be publishing Six Days in Fallujah, a game set to retell the story of a controversial battle between the US and Iraqi in 2004 in the city of Fallouja. This comes as no surprise, considering the game’s received very heavy reception since its announcement.

“After seeing the reaction to the videogame in the United States and hearing opinions sent through phone calls and e-mail, we decided several days ago not to sell it,” a spokesperson for Konami comments. “We had intended to convey the reality of the battles to players so that they could feel what it was like to be there.”

Atomic Games, the developers behind the title, are still looking for a publisher to get this game out so for those looking forward to it, there’s pretty much no doubt you’ll still be able to play it.
