Yakuza 3 Sells 300,000 Units in Japan

Sega released their PlayStation 3 exclusive, Yakuza 3, in Japan on February 26th. Game designer Toshihiro Nagoshi shares the game’s current sales with us.

“First and foremost, it sold 300,000 copies. Thank you very much.”

I guess he’s a man that doesn’t go in to detail on these sorts of things. However, the game is already in the top ten PlayStation 3 life-to-date sales, right next to the first spot owned by Metal Gear Solid 4, selling 465,000 units.
