In the latest issue of OXM, a first-look preview can be read for Lost Planet 2. Apparently, in the sequel, you will not be restricted to a core character. You’ll be able to build your character and fully customize them for war. You’ll be on a four-man team, that combined has their own “Team Military Power Bar”. This reacts to team action and depletes when a downed team member respawns, for example.

Lost Planet 2 will also feature new melee moves, described as “a little like the chainsaw in Gears of War“, and new VS units (those big mech-robot suits).

To finish off their first look, they tell of a battle where you fight a three-story high boss, ending with one of your team members jumping into its mouth.
