Capcom’s Keiji Inafune, creator of Mega Man, Onimusha, and Dead Rising, spoke in an interview recently on why Capcom has leaned more towards the Xbox 360 for game development. Inafune says that releasing games on the Xbox 360 was the best way for Capcom to earn more sales outside of Japan.

“I think I can only get away with saying this now, but I really thought that the using the Xbox was only way to break into overseas markets, and I took that hypothesis all the way.” Capcom’s Keiji Inafune said “In the end, I am very happy that I did so.”

Examples can be seen with Lost Planet, Dead Rising, and even the upcoming Lost Planet 2, an Xbox 360 exclusive.
