Naked Sky has revealed the skinny on their upcoming downloadable, Star Trek D.A.C., at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco today. It’s all multiplayer, for you competitive heads out there.

Featuring up to twelve players in a match, players can compete online as the two factions (Federation and Romulan). For single-player fiends, a solo mode is available with AI bots in the other ships.

“We wanted to make a pick up and play thing that was just about getting online [and] kicking ass, so that anyone who liked kicking ass would like the game,” revealed Naked Sky CEO Joshua Glazer.

Star Trek D.A.C. will release on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network “near” the release of the Star Trek film on May 8th.
