Here at Scrawl, we have decided to start a Top 5 VGboxart custom box art feature. At VGboxart.com, authors such as myself create custom box arts, most being for video games and some movies. From here on out, you see the best boxes of the site as a weekly feature. Here are five awesome boxes of this weekend from fellow box artists (click the image for the full box).

1) One of my new favorite artists, Hawt Es. Hawt Es in this box emphasizes on his impressive techniques and creativity, while avoiding all cliche Resident Evil 5 boxes, he steps out the box and creates a grungy, black and white horror box. The box is awesome and deserves all the attention it could get. My only gripe is Resolution could have been better, and a better presentation but Hawt Es truly does magic here.

2) Gunslinger once again comes through with an amazing simplistic box. The boxes front has excellent blending and the box showcases a brilliant color style. The screenshot’s on the back pop and while the layout is awkward it still works. Great job Slinger, keep it coming.

3) Yet another Battlestar Galactica, my friend Glowblue truly delivers a unique presentation style and box design. The box implements lots of colors and a wonderful presentation. Probably what sold the box the most would have to be the presentation. Great job Josh, keep it coming.

4) An awesome box from an awesome artist, Finalfantaseer delivered a unique piece of art, while a bit clashy, the box is still amazing. It uses a unique color palette and a artistic feel. Great Job Seer. While it doesnt exactly come in contact with the feel of Final Fantasy XIII, it still does deliver creativity.

5) Artistic, unique, bold, enough said. Blairyboy did wonders with this box and deserves all the attention. This Killzone 2 box is by far my favorite on the site.
