Tecmo, the publishers behind the Xbox 360′s Ninja Gaiden II and the upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive Quantum Theory, has told Kizko in an interview that the PlayStation 3 “worked better” for them when developing Quantum Theory. Tecmo’s Keisuke Kikuchi said this.

“Initially, the game concept was built around this game being a PC game… the project was altered slightly, and we tested out the graphics and visual presentation on the PS3. And looking at that, we were pretty confident that we were going to be able to display and execute what we wanted to using the power of the PS3.”

Kikuchi explained that the environmental detail from the trailer was a visual that they wanted to push, saying that “we just thought the PS3 worked better for us.”

FINALLY, one developer that actually prefers the PS3 when they have a choice.

Let’s hope we see more of this in the future.
