Xbox LIVE’s Community Games service is great. I’ve played some great games that have been distributed on there, but have never actually bought any. Those games include Artoon, Johnny Platform’s Biscuit Romp, CarneyVale Showtime, and Galax-e-mail. Why have I not bought any you ask? I like a game with story, something that’ll last, an RPG.

As I write this, there are 109 games on the Xbox LIVE Community Games service. One of those games is an RPG, as you can see on the game’s page, here. However, it is text-based and “ridiculously short”.

XNA has been out for a while, so why hasn’t anyone developed a decent RPG, if not any RPG? There is even an RPG starter kit for XNA to get you up and going. We’ve seen Braid take the spotlight from Mario, so who’s the next indie developer to take the spotlight from Final Fantasy?

Who wants to make me that RPG?
