PlayStation 3 Firmware Update 2.60 Coming Soon

Eric Lempel has announced a brand new firmware update for the PlayStation 3 coming soon, update v2.60. The main change in this update is a brand new Photo Gallery that comes built-in under the Pictures icon in the XMB. You simply click it and install it (a little over 100MB), and you can view your pictures in a sexy new gallery.

Firmware 2.60 also allows guest access to the PlayStation Store, so you don’t need to sign in to view content on the store, however, to download it you must. Support for DivX 3.11 was also added.
