Microsoft: 28 Million Xbox 360s Sold
Microsoft has said today that they’ve sold more than 28 million Xbox 360s since the console released in 2005, some three years ago. Meanwhile, the PlayStation 3 has sold more than 20 million since it launched in 2006 around two years ago.
Aaron Greenberg, director of product management for Xbox, feels that Microsoft is “widening [their] lead against PlayStation 3″. He noted that 2008 “was the best year in the history of the Xbox, despite the tough economy.”
So 28 million, eh? 2009 is looking good, with great exclusives on both sides, I wonder who will come out on top this year.
