In the latest issue of EDGE Magazine, a new title for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 was revealed from the developers of Just Cause, Avalanche. The new title is AionGuard, which has currently been in development for around two years. Today, Avalanche updated their site promising a “Big news update soon”, most likely regarding the newly revealed title.
The game follows the powerful AionGuard forces, an elite force who merge for life with symbiotic armor, granting them magic abilities. The developers describe the game as a mix of “WWI dogfighter pilots, Samurai and medieval knights.”
The task of the AionGuard is to recapture the world after their civilization was almost destroyed. They ride dragons and capture regions from Nazurbaal, who are ‘harvesting’ the world of it’s magical energy.
The game is open-world. Some times, you’ll have to befriend tribes to get assistance, etc. Sounds cool.
