Petitions: Naruto PS3 for Online, Dead Rising for PS3 over 3,000
July 7, 2008 / 07:05 PM EDT / (@salromano)

We will try to bring you more petitions as regularly as possible because you never know what could happen, right?

The first petition is for Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm on the PLAYSTATION 3. Now although this game is one of the best looking CG-Animated games to hit the market, and plays extremely well, it is lacking one major feature: an online function. So gamers have gotten together and formed a petition to get online functionality added into the game. Agree with it? Go ahead and sign it.

The second petition, which may be old, comes from some gamers who are demanding Capcom release Dead Rising on the PLAYSTATION 3. The petition has just reached over 3,000 signatures, and if you agree like us, go ahead and sign it.

There is your today in petitions.

I could really care less about a nearly 3 year-old game about attacking an endless stream of zombies so I’ll pass on that one.

As for Naruto, I don’t think this petition is going to do anything except bring out the dev team that put the game together to give us some BS answer about why they decided to omit one of the biggest features in almost every popular game in the past 3 years. There has to be some logical explanation for this be it technically related or something else but there’s almost no excuse for it at this point. It’s like building a car without air conditioning or power windows. Sure you could roll them down but it’s just archaic by today’s standards.

My guess is that if this feature was attainable it would’ve been put in at the start of the game with co-op or some other feature that separates it from the rest.

One can only hope that they’re planning a patch that will add online later.

If anything the petition should also demand that the game never see the light of day on the 360 as there’s little doubt that if the game was brought over to the 360 it would most certainly have online play.
