Ignition Entertainment released a new trailer for the PLAYSTATION 3′s upcoming Vampire Rain: Altered Species for the PLAYSTATION 3. The ending of the video showcases some gameplay and to tell the truth it does not look all that improved. I guess we will have to find out when we play it for ourselves, now won’t we.

this is why timed exclusives are bad..

didnt this fail miserably on the 360? so we already know that its going to suck on the ps3.

As we cannot make assumptions (considering Ignition is being nice enough to send us a copy), we will find out when the game releases. Trust me, if it is bad, its bad, but if they used some of the PS3 power like they said they would, hey, you never know.

But in most likely, unless they’ve done something major to reup the game, it will probably be bad.

Don’t get me wrong. i would love to see this be a better game. and i dont want to seem ungrateful to developers willing to work on a ps3 project.

when i had a 360 i got excited about this game prior to its release. then read the reviews and never bothered.

a good example is bioshock. a lot of ps3 owners will jump on this game when it releases because of its great reviews. and we are getting a tweaked version with all the DLC included and maybe some added treats? now that sounds good to everyone….

vampire rain came and went without much of whimper. why wont it due well in my opinion on the ps3? because of timed release ps3 owners know what to expect from its previous release.

timed release can be death to a game….

on the other hand, if they make some major improvements.. then that can be not only a blessing to the ps3 community but it can send a message to others to take their time to develop a game and not rush it out… gaiden sigma and bioshock are good examples of that..

but i hope that developers and publishers understand these late releases are not good at the end of the day.. the late gamer is now less enthused, and already has had a game spoiled for him/her.

in either case thanks for keeping us informed and looking forward to the review.. i’ve been keeping up with the site and joined recently. i like the design and general presentation of the content. keep up the good work.
