Japan Getting Metal Gear Online on Blu-Ray, Expansion in July

Konami Japan announced that they will be releasing a standalone Blu-Ray disc version of Metal Gear Online currently playable on the Metal Gear Solid 4 disc. This standalone version will go on sale July 17, 2008 for ¥1800.

An expansion for Metal Gear Online will also be available late July, but there is no word on what the expansion will contain or if it will receive a US or EU release at the same time. We are guessing new maps and/or game modes.
