First Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Gameplay, Demo in July
The latest episode of GameSpot original series, On the Spot, features the first gameplay of Namco Bandai’s upcoming PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, starting in at around the 24:00 mark.
In Joon Hwang, Marketing Manager at Namco Bandai, tells us that this is the first true Naruto next-gen game, exclusively for the PLAYSTATION 3 as well. It delivers 3D action at it’s highest quality.
He shows us the fighting aspect of the game, along with some controls.The game features a brand new battle system, built from the ground up, and the “most impressive visually stunning cell-shading you’ll ever be able to experience on a next-gen console”.
They say that the previous Ultimate Ninja titles had a 2D based fighting system, Ultimate Ninja Storm introduces a 3D system. During fights you will be able to select items for use as well, using the D-Pad, items such as bombs, etc.
The game will include 25 playable characters, as well as support characters that will help you as you fight, like a team system. Downloadable content will come to the game as well. This same demo will be available for download on the PLAYSTATION Store for free during E3 Week, but before that it will be exclusive to Qore starting July 3. The game will release late this year and an official release date will come soon.
They’ve also confirmed both Japanese and English voices, as well as an Awakening mode in the game that gives you some incredible power.
