The PlayStation 3 version of Eternal Sonata and a possible Tales of Vesperia PS3 release may be Japan-exclusive. A Namco Bandai rep has alerted us of the possibility during a recent e-mail discussion.

“The announcement of Eternal Sonata for PS3 and anything regarding a potential PS3 release of Tales of Vesperia applies to Japan only and does not extend to other territories such as the US and Europe. I just don’t want your readers to be disappointed if these games aren’t released here in the US, as we don’t have any plans for Eternal Sonata at the moment, and are not aware of a PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia. Let me know if you have any further questions. “

Hopefully, all will go well, and both titles will come stateside.

Wow, “it doesn’t look like it” why?

No clues one way or the other and you choose to take the negative path.

I think that are afraid they might not make sales on the US version. Anyways If they do well on the japanese front, they will transfer it to the US. But still no words on yakuza 3 yet…

No no, don’t get me wrong. The only reason I said this is because the last Tales Sony-system port (Tales of Symphonia) was only brought to the PS2 in Japan, and never for the US.

Then again it could happen, sales did do better in America than in Japan, according to VGChartz.

Yeah that’s because people in Japan know not to buy unreliable trash (360), and there isn’t much they can do about buying the game too.

My first “fanboy” comment here, thank you folks I’ll be here all week!

Luckily the PS3 is region free.

just think about it this way…until now, the PS3 has had what most people would consider a laughable lineup. Once PS3 games start generating enough sales and cause enough people to switch over to PS3 (as I’ve already known several former hardcore microsoft fanboys who now are either seriously thinking about buying a PS3, or have already bought one), then we will start to see that more and more games will start switching over to the ps3 side. The reason I don’t want games to be on the X360 first, is that they tend to be less quality than games that were meant for the PS3. Most likely due to the differences in the hardware between the two systems.
Basically…we continue to wait, but at least we’re getting Disgaea 3 in august!
