New Home Survey Shows Sony Still Looking for Ideas
May 14, 2008 / 11:11 PM EDT / (@salromano)

A SCRAWL reader sent us in an e-mail containing a new survey within the Home. The survey doesn’t really display anything so important, but we barley get anything on Home these days, so why not. The new survey is mainly based upon the avatar and decoration for the house and what kind of clothing you’d want or if you’d want any rare items. View it in the image on the left.

This is exactly why Home sucks right now. Instead of focusing on important features like matchmaking and other “Live-like” features that will help strengthen the PSN community they’re worried about playing dress-up and helping people live out their dream of being an interior decorator.

While I love the look and feel of Home I’m more interested in the community building aspects. Sony’s focusing on the wrong stuff.

Right now I have this love/hate relationship with Home to the point where I think I’d feel better if they just admitted that they can’t make it happen and just basically copy everything from XBL. Nearly 2 years waiting for this service to launch, I don’t think anyone would slight Sony for just giving us features that mimic XBL.
