God of War III Pre-Orders at Amazon & GameStop List March 2 Release

Major online retailer Amazon and major gaming retailer GameStop are now offering pre-orders for God of War III on their product pages for the game. The pre-order has been up for a while, but the interesting thing to note here is the March 2, 2009 release date listed on both sites. That date is three quarters lower than what it was rumored to release a while back (Christmas 2009). Is this just the retailers wanting the game to release sooner, or is it the actual date (or time frame)?

    I think October 09 is more realistic. But I guess we will find out more info at E3.

    I don’t think it means much at all. Gamestop has been doing estimated release dates for ages now. However, GOW has always traditionally been a March release.

    I really don’t care about a release time for a game such as God of War III. What I care about is a quality that the game delivers, as long as the game is on par with the previous titles then timing is not an issue for me.

    However, I hope they don’t rush the product just to make it out in March. By the way, if Killzone 2 gets released in February then isn’t it a bad idea to release God of War III in March???
